Meet Rowan King and the RK Law team
RK Law is a family-owned Central Queensland law firm, based on Rockhampton’s East Street.
We focus on providing real, honest and ethical legal representation with fixed and affordable fees.
When you choose RK Law, you’ll deal directly with the Principal Lawyer, Rowan King – it’s the kind of personal attention you won’t get elsewhere. We make it our business to provide advice and assistance when you need it most, even if it is after hours.
ROWAN King
Rowan is living the dream. His goal in becoming a lawyer was always to open his own law practice, surround himself with family-minded, passionate colleagues, and deliver genuine, trustworthy legal service to the community.
If Rowan’s path had been different, he might have become a footy coach or club executive. As it is, he does spend his days talking – if not to clients, then in court where he personally represents all clients. Coffee helps, and the odd Red Bull to get through some long days!
The service Rowan gives often means out-of-hours work, but for him, being available to people in real need is what it’s all about. Rowan is also 100% family-oriented, always working hard for his lovely wife and daughter.
Beverly Pinkham

Beverly has worked at Rowan’s side from the very start of RK Law in 2017. Bev is our finance and HR go-to person, and an integral part of the team (along with Ollie, her fur-baby, whose sole job is to keep Bev’s feet warm).
Bev’s one of those rare treasures who wouldn’t give up her job for all the tea in China (or all the coffee at Starbucks). She is truly motivated to help people in crisis, and that’s what RK Law does best. In her downtime, you could find Bev at the beach with her family.
Lachlan Robertson
Lachlan is our law graduate, recently admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland. He’s an indispensable part of the team, assisting with litigation preparation, instructing counsel and tackling the 101 tasks that keep legal proceedings moving towards a successful close.
Lachlan’s bound for great things – being a QC one day is firmly in his sights. In the meantime, he’s learning from the best, appreciating RK Law’s down-to-earth approach to practice, and immersed in the great family environment of the office.
Betty Murison

Every office needs a Betty. Our Betty (aka Donna from the TV series Suits) keeps everyone on track, particularly focusing on ensuring Rowan is where he needs to be and has everything he needs. Betty also manages Legal Aid billing.
Thanks to technology, Betty moves around the State with her husband and co-working ‘office dogs’, so mostly works from home (but never in pyjamas, and never before gym.) She’s a self-starter, a health nut and a bundle of both energy and efficiency.
